This historic forum, held under the slogan "Only the people have the right to decide their own destiny," laid a solid foundation for our sovereign statehood. Over the course of thirty years, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly has transformed from a platform for dialogue into the highest constitutional body of popular sovereignty. It is here, with the direct participation of representatives from all regions and professions, that fateful decisions for the country have been and are made. Delegates from the Brest Region have always been at the forefront of this large-scale state process.
