BREST, 21 July (BelTA) – Brest will celebrate its 1007th anniversary on 24-26 July. The main theme of the festivities is family leisure, Brest Mayor Sergei Lobodinsky told journalists, BelTA has learned.
On 24 July, the city will dive into the atmosphere of the Clouds of Milk festival. Various themed zones will be open, including interactive children’s and sports areas, attractions, a crafts fair, and food courts offering treats. Residents and guests of the regional center will enjoy a large concert and fireworks.
Those who prefer more drive can visit the Brest Motor Music Weekend bike festival. On the Francysk Skaryna embankment, visitors will also be able to get an adrenaline boost. The international Brest Frontier competition will take place there, where the strongest firefighters will be determined. A special equipment exhibition and demonstration performances are planned. Fans of elegance and aesthetics are invited in the evening to the area near the fountain on Sovetskaya Street, where at 20:00 the fashion and style festival LookBug will begin.
The key day of the celebrations is 25 July. A trendy market will unfold on Gogol Street. Competitions among rescuers will continue on the embankment. Entertainment will be available on Sovetskaya Street, in the culture and recreation park, and at the karting stadium. A large-scale program is planned near the Palace of Water Sports: numerous interactive zones, a crafts fair, food courts, tastings, karaoke, exhibitions, motorcycle stunt shows, and a big concert with a diverse repertoire. The day will end with a colorful fireworks display.
“We tried to create an art zone together with the public utilities service for a beautiful photo spot. We decided to get creative and surprise visitors with three-meter-tall scales that will weigh anyone who wishes. The weight will be interpreted in draniki. Other options are possible,” Sergei Lobodinsky said.
