Sosnowsky's hogweed and Canadian goldenrod are dangerous invasive plants. Hogweed sap can cause deep burns, and goldenrod displaces native species and spreads rapidly. Effective June 19, 2026, failure to eradicate these plants will result in administrative penalties—a fine of up to 10 basic units (up to 450 rubles). The owner or tenant of the property, including the adjacent territory, is liable. A removal order is issued first, and a fine is imposed if the order is not complied with. Don't remain indifferent—destroy dangerous plants promptly and report their locations.
